CHW COVID-19 Impact Survey Report
The results of the CHW COVID-19 professional impact survey distributed in Texas from July, 20 – August 3, 2020. The survey project is a collaboration between the national Community Health Worker Core Consensus (C3) CHW Project (based at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso) and the University of Texas Health School of Public Health Maternal and Child Health Training Program. This report of survey results is being shared with the organizations that contributed to the survey distribution effort, which includes Texas DSHS, in addition to CHW survey respondents that indicated interest in receiving the results. Sharing this data is to support advocacy for the advancement of the CHW workforce by:
• Documenting work of CHWs during the pandemic
• Informing future training opportunities
• Preparing CHWs for future public health emergencies
